Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and at least 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience.

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Acute care Med/Surg Tele unit with 32 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 and 5:1 (50% each)
• Patient population includes Medical/Surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients
• RNs titrate drips including insulin and pain medications
• Centralized tele monitoring with RNs required to validate tele strips
• Both charge nurse and house supervisor support available
• Nurse aide support with average ratios of 8:1 to 10:1
• Respiratory equipment used includes BiPAP and high flow
• Night shift schedule, 7a-730p/a, 12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduling with ability to fill open shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required
• Possible standby, no on-call requirement
• Uses EPIC EMR
