Warehouse Manager FT Exempt – Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) – Silverdale, WA

• Supervise store workers and associates in stocking the main retail store and mall per established policies and procedures during hours of closure.
• Collaborate with the Distribution Center to ensure required merchandise arrives on schedule for stocking.
• Manage retail stocking program for a large retail store mall.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures for security of merchandise, property, and equipment.

• Three years of experience in administrative, professional, investigative or other responsible work that enabled general knowledge of one or more aspects of physical distribution support (warehousing, purchasing, accounting, inventory control, merchandising, industrial planning, engineering, traffic or data processing).
• One year of progressively responsible experience providing knowledge of distribution and warehouse management systems, techniques, materiel handling practices and procedures, or experience in receipt, inspection, storage, stock rotation, stock levels, and distribution flow to location sites; combined with exempt or non‑exempt supervisory experience.
• Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
• Physical effort:
  Stand, stoop, bend, walk and handle merchandise up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Working conditions:
  
  Generally work indoors exposed to drafts, noise and dust; stand for long periods; mainly work at night.
• Training requirement:
  Receive Hazardous Material (Haz‑Mat) training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
