OverviewThe Crane Systems Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting cranes and their associated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role ensures all crane operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Responsibilities- Performs routine tasks like lubrication, parts replacement, and inspections.
- Diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in crane systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Assembles and installs new cranes, hoists, and related equipment.
- Identifies and resolves complex problems with crane systems.
- Ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with regulations.
- Maintains detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Uses portable handheld electronic devices for documenting work, timekeeping, and ordering materials where applicable.
- Communicates findings and work progress to customers.
- May be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in crane operating.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Meticulous record-keeping and adherence to safety procedures.

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
