Tessera is seeking a knowledgeable and efficient HVAC Mechanic. The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for installation, diagnosis, service, and repair of environmental-control heating and air-conditioning units in a variety of buildings and building types. The HVAC Mechanic applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as arranging and cleaning tools, replacing simple components, changing filters, wraps pipes in insulation and secures them in place with cement or wire bands, fuses, and may adjust some controls using portable equipment and hand tools.

This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.

** Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.  Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Physical Requirements:

** Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.  May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
