Compensation: $39.70 - $39.70 /hour

Tessera is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Welder, Maintenance. Primary duties include heating and bending to form metal shapes, drilling, torch cutting, hammer forging, grinding, sawing, and fitting of metal parts. The Welder, Maintenance will also perform metal work and sheet metal work on buildings, structures, and facilities.

• Welding to be performed on light, heavy gauge and headlined metals using flat, vertical, horizontal and overhead positions.
• Accomplish all work utilizing materials that match or exceed the quality of similar components on the same building.
• Fabricate, install, and repair security screens, partitions, and gates. For security screens, embed grid ends in the structure or weld to a frame on the inside.
• Maintain equipment including wheeled vehicles, track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment.
• Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removing components, removal and installation of assemblies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding similar vehicles and equipment.
• Welding certificate – ARC, MIG, including blueprint reading.
• Journeyman level preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical manuals.
• Prioritize tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifts and/or moves up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for long periods, climbing in/out of a vehicle, and stairs.
• Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.

Requirements:

• A valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• REAL ‑compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport or military ) for access to federal military installation.
• Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; background check and E-Verify will be conducted.
