Overview
Job Title: Fire Suppression – Licensed
Location: Silverdale, Washington
Employment Type: Full‑time
Compensation: $48.81 – $48.81/hr
Working Hours: Full‑time

Responsibilities- Inspect, test, and maintain building water‑based fire protection systems.
- Perform backflow assembly testing and pursue WA state backflow specialty plumber (PL30) qualification.
- Maintain fire protection systems such as AFFF Deluge, Low–Expansion Foam, Pre‑Action, Dry, Water Mist, Water Spray, and Pressure‑Reducing Valves.
- Repair or replace components (joints, pipes, valves, compressors, nitrogen generators, vacuum systems) to ensure proper operation.
- Investigate and resolve obstructions and impairments.
- Apply NFPA and UFC code requirements to installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain fire alarm control panels (FACP) for required maintenance.
- Operate and maintain special equipment, including self‑propelled boom lifts.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and environmental protection requirements.
- Respond to call‑back requests as operational needs dictate.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in fire protection technology or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of local fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, and critical fire protection components.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply manufacturer technical manuals, lubrication instructions, and water schematics.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions, reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
- Maintain perseverance under pressure during prolonged hours.
- Valid state driver’s license required; must obtain and maintain company insurance coverage.
- Possible need for REAL‑ driver's license or alternative military federal installation access.
- Obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; background check and E‑Verify required.
