Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Carpenter Maintenance professional to support building upkeep and structural repairs. In this role, you will ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities by performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and a wide range of carpentry and repair tasks. Your craftsmanship will directly impact the longevity and quality of mission‑critical infrastructure and support Tessera’s commitment to excellence and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair buildings, structures, and associated property.
  • Maintain, repair, and alter buildings and structures, including foundations, walls, doors, windows, roof framing, flooring, porches, trim, stairs, fixtures, hardware, exterior and interior painting, and glazing.
  • Layout, install, replace, repair, and remove interior and exterior walls, floors, roofs, platform towers, steps, handrails, ceilings, and roofs.
  • Maintain interior and exterior finishes, trim, and decor to match or exceed existing appearance.
  • Assemble and secure furniture as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records and submit documents daily.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry or construction.
  • Journeyman Level Certification preferred.
  • Ability to operate required equipment safely.
  • Effective verbal, listening, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend building specifications, blueprints, and maps.
Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Physical demands may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities on a case‑by‑case basis.

  • Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking may be required.
  • Stand or sit for several hours at a time, climb in and out of a vehicle, and use stairs.
  • Persevere and work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Valid state driver's license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
