Electrician, Crane B (Crane Electrician)
Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)
Type: Non‑Exempt
Work Schedule: Full‑time
Compensation: $43.51 per hour
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components on various types of crane equipment.
Typical Duties- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in crane systems, including motors, controls, and other components.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.
- Install new electrical systems or upgrade existing ones, including wiring, control panels, and other components.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential hazards.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to understand the layout and functionality of crane electrical systems.
- Complete detailed reports on inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- HS/GED and 3‑5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC systems, motor controls, and other electrical components.
- Strong understanding of crane safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and operational manuals.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and capability to work well within a team.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license (or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
