Job Description

Tessera is seeking an Electrician, Maintenance who plans, estimates and performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric equipment and components.

Typical Duties
  • Install or repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locate and diagnose problems in the electric system or equipment; perform load calculations for wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Replace lamps and ballasts, clean fixtures, repair outlets, switches, connections, sensors, and ground‑fault interrupters, and perform miscellaneous electrical repairs.
  • Repair panel boards, motor control centers, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
  • Inspect, operate, and test industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Plan and lay out work using diagrams, drawings, manuals, and schematic diagrams.
  • Keep records of maintenance, work performed, and cost of work.
  • Use portable handheld electronic devices, where applicable, to document work, time‑keep, and order materials.
  • Restore fixtures to proper operating condition and lighting to current Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) standards.
  • Position may be subject to call‑back availability based on operational needs.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Commercial and Electrical Systems and Controls.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for extended periods, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs.
  • Must persevere and work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Additional Requirements
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL‑‑compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL .
  • Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
