Tessera is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Welder, Maintenance. The primary duties include heating and bending to form metal shapes, drilling, torch cutting, hammer forging, grinding, sawing, and fitting of metal parts. The Welder, Maintenance will also perform metal work and sheet metal work to buildings, structures, and facilities.

• Welding shall be performed on light, heavy gauge and headlined metals using flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Shall accomplish all work utilizing materials which match or exceed the quality of similar components on the same building.
• Shall fabricate, install, and repair security screens, partitions, and gates. For security screens, the Contractor shall imbed grid ends in the structure or weld to a frame on the inside.
• Performs maintenance of equipment to include, but not limited to, wheeled vehicles, track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment.
• Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removing components, removal and installation of assemblies and installation of components.

• High school/Diploma GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding similar vehicles and equipment required.
• Welding Certificate—ARC, MIG to include blueprint reading, required.
• Journeyman level preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical manuals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
