Tessera is seeking a dependable Medium Motor Vehicle Driver to support transportation services s role is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional operation of vehicles up to 4 tons to transport personnel, trainees, and cargo as assigned.
Typical Duties- Drive vehicles and equipment to transport trainees, government, and/or military personnel and cargo.
- Drive vehicles from individual or central loading areas to training locations, job sites, or other destinations according to the assigned schedule.
- Perform cargo delivery as assigned.
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Ensure equipment is fully operational before each shift.
- Clean the vehicle and service the vehicle with fuel.
- Keep accurate trip logs.
- Perform vehicle licensing examiner functions as required.
- High school Diploma/GED is required.
- 0-3 years of experience in operating a vehicle.
- Must possess a valid US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card.
- Must have current or be able to obtain a Medical Examiner Certificate (DOT Card) before hire.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL
-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL .
