This position requires access to export‑controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon lawful access.
- Performs accounting activities, compiles periodic data for preparing standard and special financial reports for use by management in distribution activities.
- Maintain and update records and reports for Accounts Receivable and other Sales/Customer related activities and records.
- Prepares reports of key operational metrics on a timely basis for tracking performance to forecast and budget and meet external reporting requirements.
- Analyzes operational performance in comparison to profit plan and prepares related reports for use by operational personnel.
- Prepares, analyzes, and reviews product margins, including margin and pricing activities.
- Prepares and oversees month‑end general ledger closing entries and participates in all closing activities. Verifies support schedules to general ledger control accounts and reconciles accounts as required. Prepares all general ledger journal entries in the accounting areas. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the financial data in the Trial Balance.
- Responsible for month‑end processing of ERP system including running all reports and restoring the system for user access.
- Monitors performance metrics and troubleshoots any problems.
- Conducts monthly internal audits (ASATS) in accordance with internal audit procedures and compliance calendar.
- Performs periodic audits of cycle counts, inventory and other areas that require internal controls to ensure integrity of assets and liabilities reported on the Trial balance.
- Assures and maintains adherence to accounting policies and procedures and identifies areas where procedures could be improved. Maintains confidentiality on all data or information encountered.
- Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with Company Standards of Business Conduct.
- Ensures that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and/or related field.
- 3 years minimum experience in accounting.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing/distribution company that uses computer‑generated data from an integrated Accounting System, i.e., BAAN, ORACLE, Hyperion, etc.
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), an excellent 401(k) matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $117,000.
