Staff Accountant

POSITION TITLE

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting senior accounting staff with financial reporting. Key duties include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and helping with audits. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

• Proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop/Online)
• Preparing journal entries and completing bank reconciliations
• Assisting the controller with month-end close
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience
• Creating periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
• Maintaining accurate financial records

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with mass retail accounts on item set-up/configuration
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to correctly prepare tax reports
• Advanced Excel experience and expertise in Quick Books

PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available annual pay scale for this position is: $80,000 per year. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
