The Product Test Technician completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on‑time delivery.

• Performs routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
• Reviews shop traveler route card or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation.
• Tests to verify circuitry and effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
• Receives parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verification check.
• Performs test and diagnostics using equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters and other related test equipment.
• Sets up test equipment and runs tests per specification.
• Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro‑component level.
• Provides detailed written failure description with root‑cause analysis to production and engineering.
• Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

• Education:
  
  Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
• Certifications:
  
  Vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent experience in related field.

  6 months – 2+ years.

• Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
• Strong knowledge of testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions.
• Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures.
• Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows software applications.
