Kia Service Manager

We are under new management and seeking a dynamic, experienced Kia Service Manager to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability by effectively managing service technicians, parts, and repair processes. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to delivering top-tier vehicle maintenance and repair services and foster a positive environment that promotes growth and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, dealership experience, and a passion for automotive diagnostics and repair.

• Lead and motivate the service department team to achieve high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

• Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs.
• Manage estimating software to generate accurate repair estimates and ensure proper service writing procedures are followed.
• Upsell additional services and maintenance opportunities to enhance customer value while meeting sales targets.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair techniques, including auto estimating and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining quality control.
• Handle client communication effectively, explaining repair needs clearly, and managing expectations throughout the service process.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
• Utilize dealership experience to streamline operations, improve workflow, and maximize customer satisfaction.

• Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role within an automotive dealership or repair shop.

• Extensive mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, repair techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with estimating software programs used in auto service management.
• Strong background in auto service management including collision repair, transmission work, brake systems, suspension components, tire service, shocks & struts.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience in sales within an automotive setting is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to support dealership operations.
