Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for building, leading, and managing a complex global product portfolio. This includes developing the strategy and business plan, driving new product development, gaining cross‑functional alignment, and executing the business plan. This individual will also obtain the voice of customer and employees, and define the customer value propositions for various product categories.
Responsibilities- Meet growth, profitability and return on asset objectives within the product portfolio.
- Plan, lead and manage the entire life of product lines from market opportunity identification through design and development, launch, market penetration, growth and end‑of‑life.
- Manage product portfolio results in global regions, distribution channels, market segments and customers aligned with the strategy.
- Identify and communicate business strategy resulting from a thorough understanding of customer and market requirements, competitive environment and core competencies for each product portfolio.
- Identify and develop new and existing applications and products.
- Price globally, working with sales management to ensure appropriate pricing in various regions.
- Establish and lead marketing communication and promotional strategy for product offerings.
- Provide product and application training for appropriate sales channels.
- Maximize effective use of existing assets and return on assets for the product portfolio globally.
- Establish product cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Research and identify acquisition targets for new product offerings.
- 5+ years in product management, engineering, technical sales, or related field.
- Preferred advanced degree in business or technology discipline.
- Fluency in English required; second language or international experience a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Capability to plan strategically and translate opportunities into commercially successful products.
- Experience working across organization lines to translate market trends into financial business plans.
- Up to 50% travel may be required.
$100,000-$110,000 per year.
