Summary

The Sr. Enterprise Applications Analyst will develop, influence, and implement a partner strategy that ensures alignment between business units (BU) and DBT, with a mission to more effectively achieve both BU-specific and AV enterprise objectives. The role contributes to the evolution of AV’s Digital Transformation initiative by actively collaborating with Business Partners to determine the strategic direction for BU-specific and enterprise-wide solutions.

Within their assigned Business Partner/BU, the analyst acts as a conduit of information and becomes a BU subject matter expert, showcasing the potential of digital transformation for the company.

Position Responsibilities
  • Partners with business units and ensures every business decision is viewed through the customer lens.
    • Collaborates with partner business units to reimagine how we can deliver the best processes using people, process, data, and technology
    • Executes solutions that communicate the value of the relationship with AV Business partners to team members and customers
  • Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for designated partner business units
    • Attends designated partner BU meetings and shadows team members
    • Documents workflows and journeys of day-to-day operations
    • Provides an understanding of day-to-day roles within the partner BU and develops knowledge in both technology and business areas
    • Serves as a trusted advisor and main contact for BU & DBT stakeholders
    • With BU leadership, establishes and maintains a three-year business and DBT solution road map
    • Uses business analysis techniques and business cases to define high-level features and service levels for IT offerings
    • Focuses on business value, including digital awareness, risk assessments, and business capability requirements
    • Stays current with industry and technology trends to foster creativity and innovation
    • Conducts business process gap analyses to optimize processes toward digitalization and automation
    • Analyzes business requirements, identifies data elements, and prepares detailed specifications for program development
    • Builds deep knowledge of the business partner’s BU and cultivates strong relationships
  • Defines business requirements for designated business units
    • Writes requirements to obtain data from enterprise data teams and analyzes data trends
    • Manages the technology demand pipeline across assigned BU and assists leaders in defining business cases
    • Monitors technology planning and deployment, surfacing demand for technology capabilities and assets, and ensuring value from DBT capabilities
    • Contributes to requirements, design and review sessions and risk identification
    • Ensures collaboration and availability of business resources for projects
    • Promotes adoption of solutions created by projects
    • Communicates with leadership to evaluate initiatives and alignment with roadmaps and priorities
    • Demonstrates system capabilities to solve business problems
    • Gathers requirements with business users and oversees feasibility and delivery; approves changes to high-level requirements
    • Anticipates bottlenecks and escalates as needed
    • Analyzes end-to-end, moderate to high complexity processes in one or more functional areas
  • Collaborates with peers and project managers to balance BU and enterprise optimization
    • Transfers solution knowledge and BU needs to leadership and peers
    • Ensures common processes across departments and aligns technology strategy with functional requirements
    • Negotiates tradeoffs between business needs and technical constraints to maximize overall benefit
    • Manages post-implementation enhancement requests on an established release schedule
    • Monitors production issues for opportunities to improve workflows; escalates when necessary
    • Acts as the business SME to prioritize technology projects for maximum ROI and align BU & IT strategy with overall business goals
    • Partners with PMO to manage cross-functional projects and ensure successful integration, implementation, and adoption of IT solutions
    • Contributes to strategic plans and prepares presentations/reports for board and executive management
