Responsibilities- Works with the Sales Manager and management with the development of the department budget and sales forecasts.
- Maps distribution customer purchases to end use.
- Identifies focus accounts and personally tracks the monthly performance of these accounts.
- Tracks quotes, bookings and sales figures monthly and yearly.
- Works with the sales representatives on daily quotes; customer, pricing and sales strategies.
- Ensures that contract reviews are performed by the Sales representatives.
- Collaborates with HFS Simi Valley departments and employees to understand and assist in other processes within the facility.
- Supports pricing agreement strategies with the Sales Manager and management.
- Provides daily, monthly and ad hoc reports to other departments as requested.
- Works with customers and manufacturing on expedites including delinquent orders.
- Provides regular performance feedback and seeks continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contributes to process improvements by offering frontline insights into current processes.
- Implements workflow upgrades to reduce errors and improve processing times.
- Researches competitive market pricing and executes actions based on this intelligence.
- Understands import and export policies and procedures.
- Supervises Sales employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Mentors and trains newly assigned personnel.
- Works with Human Resources on compliance with all company policies.
- Provides leadership to the Sales group through example and knowledge sharing.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Continuously develops leadership skills and coordinates duties in the Sales Department, including interviewing and training new employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and assisting in resolving problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university or equivalent experience with not less than 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401k matching, paid holidays and vacation. Salary range: $70K to $90K.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Fastener/Manufacturing Industry experience or related.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent operational skills and strong interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of sales or customer related roles in aerospace fasteners or related industry.
