• Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects; document care in the patient record.
• Triage and respond to emergencies; collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to coordinate care.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; maintain clear communication with the care team.
• Provide patient and family education and contribute to discharge planning as appropriate.
