Location: 600 West Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley, CA 93065
Duties- Operate and maintain plant equipment.
- Perform adjustments and repairs.
- Collect and document samples for laboratory testing.
- Support related duties as assigned.

Position Details- Full‑time regular position.
- 9/80 work schedule with alternating Monday or Friday off.
- Optional overtime may be available.
- Pay ranges for advanced-level positions:
- Plant Operator I – $30.80 – $39.37 per hour
- Plant Operator II – $33.64 – $42.95 per hour
- Plant Operator III – $37.03 – $47.24 per hour
- Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in water or wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Experience: Experience commensurate with each grade level of certification as required by the State of California, which includes some coursework in the area of assignment.
- Wastewater:
Possession of a Grade I, II, or III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board. - All Positions:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license. Positions in wastewater require a Class B driver’s license within 12 months of employment. - Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid CPR certificate.

- 5.2 weeks of AL (Annual Leave) per year at start; accrual increases at 5 and 10 years of service.
- Cash out option available after one year of service.

- Paid Dental Insurance: HMO and PPO options from Delta Dental; fully covered by the city for family coverage.
