Scope of Responsibilities

The Financial Office Coordinator supports the finance department by managing communications and reconciliation of funds available to SCS families through the state ESTF and ECENC programs. The position also supports routine accounting tasks and Accounts Payable activities. This is an in‑office, full‑time role with potential for part‑time consideration.

  • Assist the SCS Billing Coordinator in communication and reconciliation of ESTF funds.
  • Acquire knowledge of state and federal school choice funding programservoorsee.
  • Become proficient with Blackbaud Accounting, Billing and Financial Aid Software.
  • Accurately enter data for accounting records in collaboration with the SCS Senior Staff Accountant.
  • Process vendor payments and purchase order requests, overseeing payment approval workflows.
  • Maintain workflows and approvals in PEX (credit card system).
  • Provide coverage when other finance team members are out of office.
  • Assist with special projects from the HR or payroll department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualified Applicants
  • Must be a born‑again believer in Jesus Christ, be involved with an evangelical Protestant church of like faith and practice, and agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School. Willing to enroll eligible children at the school.
  • Minimum 3 years of business office experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and automated accounting systems.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Publiks ed and comfortable using Excel.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and work Procurement teamwork.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Integrity in keeping confidential information.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
