Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Apply to work as a Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprentice  apprenticeship is a patient‑centric role that offers hands‑on training and an opportunity to become a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified pharmacy technician.

Base pay range: $16.50/hr – $20.00/hr.

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and perform other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and enter data accurately.
• Support pharmacy cash registers and train/coach pharmacy technicians with pharmacy systems if PTCB certified.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.
• Assist in pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storage.
• Support clinical services such as collecting and labeling blood or urine samples and coordinating with Walgreens healthcare clinics.
• Assist in maintaining good relationships with local medical professionals and the community.
• Execute clerical duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, and comply with all company policies and the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing‑education credits to keep up‑to‑date with healthcare and pharmacy changes.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English. (Excludes Puerto Rico.)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription counting and measuring.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Salary range: $16.50–$20.00 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and access to Walgreens employee discounts. The role remains open until filled.
