Overview
As the team at Zaxbys expands, we’re looking for a General Manager to lead our restaurant. The G‑M will guide the team to a positive culture, maintain high morale, and drive sales while ensuring brand standards are upheld.
Responsibilities- Complete all training requirements including the Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan, Operations Excellence Capstone Class, Food Safety Certification, Manager Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
- Deliver great experiences to guests and ensure the restaurant consistently upholds service, product quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels: source, interview, hire, retain, and recognize top performers.
- Provide training, mentoring, coaching, and development while holding team members accountable.
- Plan, delegate shift assignments, and adjust schedules to drive sales and control labor costs.
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through guidance and leadership.
- Manage profitability by driving sales, controlling costs, developing team members, and ensuring operational standards.
- Build community relationships to increase sales and service excellence.
- Control costs and losses, improve operations, and maintain compliance with Zaxbys Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies.
- Complete performance reviews for crew and assist with manager reviews.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and procedures.
- Utilize management tools, keep accurate records, and review performance metrics daily.
- Handle and report guest and team member complaints in a timely manner.
- Maintain flexibility to exceed role expectations and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Open availability; able to work at least 5 days and 48 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful background check and motor‑vehicle report.
- Leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
- Minimum education:
high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. - 3–5 years of management experience required.
- Restaurant management experience preferred.
