American Plastics is a private equity‑backed leading injection‑molded plastics manufacturer specializing in Retail Storage, Janitorial, Food Service and Cleaning products. We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Specialist at our Simpsonville, SC facility. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
If you are an upcoming or recent graduate with a certificate or degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, this is a perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities- Fluent knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
- Track inventories and orders to ensure customer demands are met.
- Plan and execution of Amazon DF orders for the pickers daily.
- Print packing slips & shipping labels for Amazon DF.
- Ability to become Forklift Certified.
- Good communication skills with coworkers to achieve daily goals of fulfilling customer orders.
- Assist with shipping errors.
- Work with shipping clerks to prioritize customer orders.
- Understands and adheres to all OSHA related requirements for warehouse work.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks accurately.
- Run a safe, clean operation which promotes zero accidents.
- Meet production and delivery schedules.
- Meet operating cost budget.
- Supply Chain Management and Logistics certificate or degree.
- Organized, detail oriented, team player.
- Resourceful, with ability to apply critical problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Warehouse and shipping experience a plus.
- Computer skills including ERP experience (Trans4M a plus), Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Results driven with the ability to deliver productivity improvements year‑over‑year.
