Nurse Practitioner

• Engaging in diagnosis and treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, and prescribing treatments for physical, mental, or functional ailments.
• Performing documentation such as charting, summaries, correspondence, and billing paperwork.
• Participating in physician educational programs related to capitated medicine.
• Responding to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.
• Establishing quality assurance and utilization management programs.
• Assisting in selecting management information systems.
• Developing patient education services and satisfaction surveys.
• Contributing to operational and capital budgets, revenue enhancement, expense reduction, and billing opportunities.

• Master's Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner Program Certificate.
• South Carolina Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive Authority, Controlled Substance license, and Federal DEA license.
