American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for orthopedic and bariatric patients with telemetry monitoring needs
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Floating required to similar units or nearby hospitals as needed based on census

• Active RN license (SC or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field required
• First-time travelers require 3 years of specialty experience
• At least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE and oxygen administration via nasal cannula
• EKG testing skills required

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia management for a telemetry patient population
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as needed
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management
• Respond to and manage cardiac emergencies and arrhythmias
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed shortly after receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers considered with required specialty experience
