Job Overview

Heat Treating Services Unlimited Inc (HTSU) is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mason to join our Field Operations team. This role involves the installation and removal of high‑temperature refractory materials including fiber, castable, brick, and ram products in thermal processing equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Install refractory products including fiber, castable, brick, and ram‑based materials.
  • Remove existing refractory materials using chipping hammers, rivet busters, and other demolition tools.
  • Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work drawings.
  • Perform basic stick welding to install steel anchors.
  • Build forms and support structures for complex installations (arches, lintels, etc.).
  • Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced workers.
  • Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain organized work spaces.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to meet job requirements and timelines.
  • Travel extensively, including overnight assignments to customer facilities across the U.S.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bricklaying, including industrial or commercial projects.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction projects (industrial construction preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience installing refractory products is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in masonry methods, materials, and hand/power tools.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and technical documentation.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects and remain flexible with changing site conditions.
  • Commitment to teamwork and working well both solo and in team environments.
  • Excellent physical stamina and hand‑eye coordination.
  • Safety‑focused and capable of adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Certification or formal training in masonry is a plus.

Schedule
  • Full‑Time – Monday to Friday
  • Weekend and overtime work may be required depending on project demands.
Location

This is a travel‑intensive field role. You must be able to travel regularly, including overnight stays at project sites throughout the U.S.
