This role involves the installation and removal of high-temperature refractory materials including fiber, castable, brick, and ram products in thermal processing equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Install refractory products including fiber, castable, brick, and ram-based materials.
- Remove existing refractory materials using chipping hammers, rivet busters, and other demolition tools.
- Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work drawings.
- Perform basic stick welding to install steel anchors.
- Build forms and support structures for complex installations (arches, lintels, etc.).
- Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced workers.
- Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain organized work spaces.
- Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to meet job requirements and timelines.
- Travel extensively, including overnight assignments to customer facilities across the U.S.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bricklaying, including industrial or commercial projects.
- 3+ years of experience in construction projects (industrial construction preferred).
- Hands-on experience installing refractory products is highly desirable.
- Proficient in masonry methods, materials, and hand/power tools.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and technical documentation.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to multitask across multiple projects and remain flexible with changing site conditions.
- Commitment to team work and working well both in solo and team environments.
- Excellent physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
- Safety-focused and capable of adhering to OSHA standards.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Certification or formal training in masonry is a plus.

- Weekend and overtime work may be required depending on project demands.
- This is a travel-intensive field role. You must be able to travel regularly, including overnight stays at project sites throughout the U.S.
