The Bus Driver will safely transport children and counselors to and from schools or field trips, and act as a role model in regards to promptness, manners, language, appearance and health.

- Operate a 14‑passenger mini‑bus.
- Ensure the safety of passengers at all times while in a YMCA vehicle.
- Maintain equipment to ensure safety of participants.
- Communicate with the appropriate supervisor any equipment needs.
- Return the bus to the appropriate place clean and free of belongings.
- Maintain accurate records at all times, including trip and mileage logs.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
- Attend and complete required abuse risk management training.
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high‑risk activities and supervising consumers.
- Follow mandated reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job‑specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
- Must be at least 20 years of age and possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with the ability to operate a 14‑enger mini‑bus, with preference given to those holding a valid CDL.
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Minimum age of 20 years.
- Experience operating a 14‑passenger mini‑bus.
- Strong safety focus and commitment to child protection policies.
- Ability to maintain accurate travel and mileage logs.
- Completed required abuse risk management training.
