6am-4:30pm M-F, some OT and weekends
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
- Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of customer products and materials.
- Perform trailer moves in the yard as needed.
- Perform required before, during and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
- Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
- Maintain a level of professionalism at all times.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
- Ability to safely drive various vehicles.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have at least 2 years recent driving experience with a Class A CDL.
- Must have minimal infractions on a 3 year MVR report.
- Must have a current Class A CDL and DOT card.
- Must be able to pass a road test administered by the company.
- Yard dog/tractor experience preferred.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, one (1) year relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Possess or have ability to become forklift certified.
- Valid State CDL License.
Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets.
REASONING ABILITYAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
