Join Our Mission as a Function Test Technician!

The Test Services Team is hiring! We’re looking for a hands‑on, mechanically minded Function Test Technician to support our Function Team Lead. If you love solving problems, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and get energized by technology that matters, this role is for you. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of set‑up and performance for Tensile, Drop, Electrical, and Function testing in accordance with written procedures, MIL‑STD’s and industry specifications.
• Generation of test data to support customer requirements.
• Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required, as well as performing testing in inclement weather.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
• Ability to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
• Safety mindset with attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.
• Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial.
• Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.

Ideal candidate will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to a number of the following areas:

• Instrumentation:
  Oscilloscopes, Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners, EBW/HBW Firesets, High Speed Cameras, Watlow Controlled Environmental Chambers.

Desired Skills

• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Troubleshooting skills.
