Test Technician

Join Our Mission as a Function Test Technician! The Test Services Team is hiring! We're looking for a hands‑on, mechanically minded Function Test Technician to support our Function Team Lead. If you love solving problems, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and get energized by technology that matters, this role is for you. This is a position located in Simsbury, CT.

Primary responsibility will be evaluation of set‑up and performance for Tensile, Drop, Electrical and Function testing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL‑STD’s and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required as well as testing in inclement weather.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma (associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
• Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
• A Safety mindset with attention to detail, as well as Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and communication skills are required.
• Candidates must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.
• Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial.
• Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to a number of the following areas:

• Oscilloscopes
• Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners
• EBW/HBW Firesets
• High Speed Cameras
• Watlow Controlled Environmental Chambers

• Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
• Attention to Detail
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Troubleshooting Skills
