CNA PART TIME

Overview

Caring Companions has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a caring and compassionate CNA to join our team. There is an open part-time position in Simsbury with a very nice male client. You will provide ADLs, light housekeeping, and assist with feeding. This client will require a bed bath before pivoting into his wheelchair. The client will need assistance with feeding, hygiene, companionship, light housekeeping and laundry.

He enjoys going outside and taking a stroll around the block in his wheelchair to say hi to neighbors and enjoy the fresh air, and he will also enjoy a nap afterwards. There is an electric Hoyer Lift in the home to be used if needed.

• Provide ADLs, light housekeeping, and assist with feeding for the client.
• Assist with bed baths and transfers as needed (with the Hoyer Lift as available).
• Provide companionship and support with daily activities, including outdoor walks and social interaction.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry as required; assist with feeding and overall comfort.

Excellent PART TIME

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 10am-2pm

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• 2 years of hands-on personal care experience
• Hoyer Lift experience
• CNA Certificate

• Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day
• Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle
• Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
• Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with activities of daily living
• Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to see and hear well (natural or corrected)
