Finance Manager

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable finance professional to oversee our finance team and manage the insurance business’s daily financial operations, accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timely closing and regulatory compliance.

• Monitor daily cash balances, receipts, refunds, cheque payments and disbursements
• Record and reconcile premiums, commissions, cancellations, refunds and payments to insurers, sub-agents and referral partners
• Monitor AR/AP balances, follow up on overdue debts and ensure timely payments
• Oversee monthly closing, journal entries, intercompany billing and financial statements
• Perform bank and account reconciliations with insurers, customers, dealers and intercompany entities
• Prepare GST returns and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate year-end closing and prepare audit schedules
• Review transactions and master data to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial procedures
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and AR/AP reports, highlighting key issues and outstanding balances

• Degree in accounting or equivalent with at least3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good working attitude
• Sense of responsibility, self-motivated, initiative and resourceful
• Experience in motor insurance will be an added advantage
• Well versed in Microsoft Excel
• Able to work under tight deadlines
