Tenure‑Track Assistant/Associate Professor in South or Southeast Asian political thought

• Join the Public Policy and Global Affairs Division within the School of Social Sciences.
• Contribute to CoHASS’s interdisciplinary research environment, particularly the Global Asia priority.
• Supervise PhD students.
• Develop new taught postgraduate programmes.
• Collaborate across schools and centres within CoHASS and the wider university.

• Hold a PhD in political science, political theory, history of political thought, or a cognate discipline focusing on South or Southeast Asian political thought.
• Demonstrate an outstanding research track record for the relevant career stage, with the capacity to produce research that shapes the field, evidenced by a strong record of published research or, for early‑career candidates, a distinctive research programme.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach Asian and global political theory at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to teaching, pastoral care, and administering the PPGA Programme.
• Demonstrate a willingness to engage in interdisciplinary conversations across the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and beyond.
