The Technical Lead (Engineer / Senior Engineer) is responsible for leading product transfers from manufacturing sites to Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and supporting outsourced NPI/NPD programs. The role ensures successful industrialization, qualification, production ramp-up, and manufacturing performance while meeting quality, cost, delivery, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Co-lead end-to-end manufacturing transfer projects and production ramp-up activities.
- Develop transfer plans, readiness reviews, risk mitigation strategies, and qualification activities.
- Coordinate transfer of processes, tooling, fixtures, test systems, documentation, and manufacturing knowledge.
- Support outsourced NPI/NPD programs and ensure DFM, DFA and DFT considerations are incorporated early.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with Contract Manufacturers and drive supplier capability development.
- Support FAI, PPAP, process validation, copy-exact transfer, engineering change management, and configuration control.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders, project risks, escalations, and executive reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, NPI/NPD, Product Transfer, Industrialization, Supplier Engineering, or Contract Manufacturing.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment, automation systems, capital equipment, or precision manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong experience in module and system level test protocol, test stations setup will be a strong candidate for consideration.
- Strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes, DFM/DFA, engineering drawings, BOMs, tolerances, PLM, ECO/ECN, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong project leadership skills with proven ability to manage milestones, risks, stakeholders, and multiple concurrent programs.
