Senior Staff Nurse – Haemodialysis SL

• Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis in accordance with established clinical protocols and professional standards.
• Participate in and coordinate haemodialysis procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery of treatment.
• Perform needling of arteriovenous (AV) fistulas and AV grafts in accordance with approved procedures and demonstrated clinical competency.
• Monitor, assess and document patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions throughout dialysis treatment, escalating abnormal findings promptly to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Ensure dialysis machines and related equipment are checked before, monitored during and properly maintained after each treatment session.
• Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surfaces, treatment chairs and work surfaces after each use in accordance with infection-prevention and control protocols.
• Ensure adequate availability of dialysis supplies, consumables and equipment for daily clinical operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe clinical environment in compliance with relevant infection-control and workplace safety requirements.
• Support and guide nursing team members in maintaining consistent standards of patient care and clinical practice, where appropriate.
• Collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals during patient assessments, examinations and treatment procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with applicable clinical policies, documentation requirements and operational procedures.
• Perform other reasonable nursing-related duties as assigned by the Head Nurse.
