Job OverviewThe Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and internal advocate for all Customers ough consultative engagement, we identify customers’ challenges and business requirements, establish a technical maturity roadmap, and leverage our product expertise to propose solutions that meet their needs. As trusted technical advisors, we work closely with our Customers to help them achieve their target outcomes and realize the full value of the Hashi Corp solutions they’ve implemented.
Responsibilities- Serve as a strategic advisor: act as Hashi Corp’s technical advisor to customers, engaging with both hands‑on engineering teams and C‑level stakeholders.
- Engage, architect, and influence: build trusted relationships with stakeholders and drive strategic application, technology, and infrastructure decisions through compelling presentations, architectural design reviews, customized demos, Proofs of Value, forward‑deployed engineering, hands‑on workshops, troubleshooting.
- Drive value realization: guide Customers through their cloud adoption journey, designing technical solutions aligned with their strategic priorities, multi‑year programs, and corporate values, to drive Hashi Corp adoption and revenue growth.
- Demonstrate business value: articulate and prove the business value of Hashi Corp solutions (e.g., Vault, Terraform, Consul) in solving the real needs of the end‑users through discovered business‑aligned metrics and impact conversations.
- Provide authoritative guidance: give expert‑level advice and direction on modern technology practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Authentication and Authorization, cloud architecture, containers orchestration (Kubernetes/Open Shift), security automation as part of Dev Sec Ops and the broader Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Drive adoption and expansion: drive customers’ Return on Investments (ROI) within adopted products and promote the adoption of multi‑product integrated solutions, increasing the value of the IBM partnership.
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree required;
Master's Degree preferred. - Required technical and professional expertise: deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. Candidates may be SREs, Dev Sec Ops Leads, Platform Engineering Leads, etc., looking to transition into a customer‑facing business role.
- Experience:
Technical Pre‑Sales/Sales Engineering role, or equivalent hands‑on experience in Dev Sec Ops , SRE, or Cloud Architecture roles. Experience deploying or implementing solutions in large‑scale, strictly governed, and change‑controlled environments is a must. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): proficiency with IaC principles; hands‑on, preferably production experience with Terraform is mandatory.
- Cloud: expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including core services of a standard landing zone (VPC, IAM, compute, managed Kubernetes).
- Container orchestration: practical experience with Kubernetes (k8s), including managed services like EKS, GKE, or AKS.
- Dev Sec Ops and IAM Principles: demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline architecture (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops) and methods of pan‑environment Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA), encryption, and security for distributed services (e.g., mTLS, PKI, JWT, JIT).
- Communication and Influence: verbal and written communication skills (English), proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and converse with customer stakeholders.
- Preferred technical and professional experience:
- Hashi Corp Portfolio:
Passed certification in Hashi Corp stack (e.g., Vault and Terraform, or Terraform and Consul) at least at the Associate level. - Regulatory: understanding of architecture requirements imposed by regulatory and advisory domains like MAS, IMDA, SCS.
- Observability: experience with observability stacks and log monitoring.
- Cloud
Certifications:
relevant professional level certifications (e.g., CKA, AWS Solutions Architect Professional grade). - Open source contributions: personal and community‑valued Git Hub activity.
