- Oversee the planning, implementation, maintenance and management of the company's IT infrastructure.
- Manage IT systems, servers, networks, cloud platforms and storage solutions to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Monitor system performance, availability and security, and implement improvements where necessary.
- Lead infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, implementations and technology improvements.
- Develop and enforce IT infrastructure policies, security standards, backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimise system downtime.
- Manage IT infrastructure budgets, resources, vendors and service providers.
- Ensure infrastructure systems comply with relevant security requirements and company policies.
- Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure team, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand business requirements and recommend suitable technology solutions.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations and operational procedures.
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or network engineering, including experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of server administration, network infrastructure, storage systems and IT security.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies, cloud platforms, backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and firewalls.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects, vendors and technical teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
