- Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and database operations on on‑premise and cloud platforms.
- Identify repetitive, manual, and error‑prone operational activities and develop automation to improve efficiency.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Unix Shell scripting.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows for infrastructure and database operations.
- Automate database provisioning, configuration, patching, validation, monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
- Strong experience with Python and/or Bash/Unix Shell scripting.
- Experience developing reusable automation scripts and frameworks.
- Experience with Ansible, including playbooks, roles, variables, inventories, and automation workflows.
- Ability to automate complex multi‑step operational processes.
- Experience implementing error handling, logging, validation, notifications, and rollback mechanisms.
- Experience integrating scripts with APIs, command‑line tools, monitoring platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Understanding of Git/version control and software development practices is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD and automation pipelines is an advantage.
- Strong Linux/UNIX administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Experience with virtual machines and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience with OCI and Hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and operational automation.
- Understanding of networking, storage, compute, and high‑availability concepts.
- Experience with Oracle Database Appliance, Exadata Cloud@Customer, and ZFS is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, database, automation, Cloud Dev Ops, or production operations.
- Strong Linux/UNIX administration experience.
- Strong scripting and automation experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Ansible or similar configuration‑management/automation tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional technical teams.
- Reduction in manual operational effort
- Automation coverage across infrastructure and database operations
- Reliability and success rate of automation workflows
- Reduction in operational incidents and recurring issues
- Improvement in deployment and maintenance efficiency
- Standardization of operational processes
- Automation scalability and reusability
- Platform availability and operational stability
