Postdoctoral/research fellowship in RNA biology and cancer:Singapore
A postdoctoral/research fellow position is available immediately to study the roles of long noncoding RNAs in cancer in the laboratory of Pek Jun Wei. The research involves the identification of novel long noncoding RNAs (called sisRNAs) and investigation of their molecular functions in cancer cells.
An ideal candidate should be:
- highly independent and motivated with deep interest in scientific exploration
- confident to engage in an independent project, with opportunities to collaborate with clinician scientists - able to enjoy working in a small and dynamic environment
Preferred skill sets:
- proficient in biochemistry/molecular biology techniques for RNA/proteins - experience in working with human/cancer cell lines
- knowledge of RNA-sequencing, library construction
- ability to analyze deep sequencing data will be advantageous
Qualifications:
- PhD degree from a reputable university
- at least a first-author paper in an international peer-reviewed journal
