Digital Workplace Engineer; SharePoint & Power Platform

1.Support the assessment and migration of sites, documents, metadata, permissions and workflows from SG-DCS, SharePoint 2013 and other legacy environments to SharePoint Online.

2.Use migration tools such as Share Gate or Microsoft Migration Manager to run migration jobs, review results, correct errors and validate migrated content.

3.Configure and maintain SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, views, navigation and permissions.

4.Build and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for straight forward business processes and productivity needs.

5.Develop or modify lightweight SharePoint components and integrations using SPFx, JavaScript or Type Script where required.

6.Assist with discovery workshops, content inventories, migration mapping, testing, cutover preparation and post-migration support.

7.Troubleshoot migration, access, workflow and application issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.

8.Prepare clear technical documentation, test scripts, user guides and migration status updates.

9.Work directly with users to validate migrated content, gather feedback and make iterative improvements.

10.Learnand apply relevant Microsoft 365, Power Platform and development practices with guidance from more experienced team members.

1.2–3years of hands‑on experience developing or supporting SharePoint, Microsoft 365or Power Platform solutions.

2.Practical experience with SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, permissions and basic administration.

3.Some hands‑on exposure to SharePoint migration, including content assessment, migration execution, validation or issue remediation.

4.Experience with Share Gate, Microsoft Migration Manager or a similar migration tool is preferred; candidates with relevant migration fundamentals and a willingness to learn may also be considered.

5.Hands‑on experience building or maintaining Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.

6.Basic development skills in JavaScript or Type Script; exposure to SPFx, React, Microsoft Graph or REST APIs is useful but not mandatory across all areas.

7.Ability to troubleshoot systematically, test changes carefully and produce clear technical and user documentation.
1.Ability to work with business users and technical team members to clarify requirements and deliver practical solutions.

2.Familiarity with source control and basic development practices is helpful; deep expertise in Azure architecture, CI/CD or enterprise integration is not required.

3.A proactive, hands‑on attitude, willingness to learn and ability to take guidance, own assigned work and improve through feedback.

1.Exposure to SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Server, SG-DCS or other legacy collaboration platforms.

2.Experience supporting user acceptance testing, migration cutovers or post‑migration hypercare.

3.Familiarity with Microsoft Lists, Forms, Dataverse, Power BI or Microsoft 365 Copilot.

4.Basic awareness of records management, retention, access control and information governance.

5.Experience working in government, regulated or security‑conscious environments.

The ideal candidate is a practical, hands‑on developer with 2–3 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in SharePoint migration and Power Platform delivery
. They should be comfortable working through assigned migration tasks, building straightforward apps and workflows, troubleshooting issues, engaging users and learning unfamiliar tools or techniques. Broad expertise across Azure services, enterprise architecture and CI/CD is not expected for this role.
