As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and maintenance of high-performance software solutions used in surveillance, command &control, radar, communication, and other defence technology platforms.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using modern C++.
- Develop software components for real-time and mission-critical systems.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Translate system and customer requirements into software specifications and technical solutions.
- Implement multi-threaded, high-performance, and scalable software modules.
- Develop and optimize software for Linux and/or embedded environments.
- Integrate software with hardware devices, sensors, communication systems, and network interfaces.
- Perform software verification, validation, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Produce technical documentation, design documents, test plans, and user manuals.
- Support software integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with software quality, cybersecurity, functional safety, and defence standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project execution.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience using C++.
- Strong proficiency in:
- C++11/14/17 (or later)
- Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Design Patterns
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- Experience with Linux-based development environments
- Solid understanding of:
- Multi-threading and concurrency
- Inter-process communication (IPC)
- Networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Software lifecycle and version control systems
- Experience using Git, Git Lab, SVN or equivalent configuration management tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments.
