PLC Senior Software Engineer – Singapore
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, program and troubleshoot PLC-based industrial automation and control systems.
- Develop and maintain PLC programs for automated machinery and industrial equipment.
- Design, develop and deploy scalable software systems with AI/ML integration.
- Develop, train and implement machine learning models or rule-based solutions.
- Analyse large datasets and translate data insights into practical software solutions.
- Participate in software architecture, technical design and technology decisions.
- Conduct code reviews, design reviews and testing to ensure software quality.
- Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers.
- Contribute to project planning, technical documentation and implementation.
- Develop and maintain reliable production-grade applications and services.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide production support.
- Provide technical support at customer sites when required.
- Follow software development best practices, coding standards and quality processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering / industrial automation experience
. - Hands-on experience in PLC programming, development, testing and troubleshooting is mandatory.
- Experience with PLC control systems and industrial automation
. - Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++, Java or similar languages
. - Experience integrating software applications with PLC/automation systems.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies is preferred/required depending on the client's actual need.
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
