About the role
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. The ideal candidate is a hands-on warehouse supervisor who can lead a small team while remaining actively involved in daily warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Allocate manpower and work assignments to ensure smooth and timely warehouse operations
- Monitor staff performance, work discipline and adherence to warehouse SOPs
- Provide on-the-job guidance and training to warehouse team members
- Oversee the receiving, storing, issuing and movement of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records through the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Verify incoming goods against delivery orders, purchase orders and relevant documentation
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food products in accordance with company food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ensure warehouse staff comply with workplace safety procedures and proper manual handling practices
- Minimum 3 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience, preferably with supervisory experience
- Experience supervising warehouse staff and coordinating daily warehouse activities
- Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, FMCG or cold-chain operations will be an advantage
- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic inventory management processes
- Comfortable working in chiller and freezer environments where required
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
- Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently, lead a team and respond effectively to operational priorities
- Comfortable performing hands-on warehouse duties, including manual handling and movement of goods, as required by operational needs and in accordance with workplace safety requirements
