Electrical and Mechanical Machine Technician; PLC Control Programmer Groschopp, Inc. Groschopp

The person will be responsible for the set-up, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling used in the manufacture of H.P. electric motors. This is a hands-on position requiring a high level of proficiency in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.

• Consult with production personnel regarding modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and product quality.
• Maintain a critical spare parts inventory.
• Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
• Participate actively in production and problem-solving meetings.
• Maintain appropriate attendance and work hours necessary to perform the job.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback on relevant information to co-workers and management.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management to promote teamwork and communication initiatives.
• Accept instructions and duties positively.
• Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.

• Four (4) or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting machine and control system issues on existing equipment.
• Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and demonstrate experience with electrical control circuits, VFDs, DC drives, analog and digital circuitry, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience with PLC programming software (RSLogix
  500, RSLogix
  5000 Studio, Panel Builder, EZ Automation, etc.), HMI design (Panel Builder, EZ Touch, etc.), and other control software platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
