UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for an Anesthesia - Physician to join our team in Sioux City, IA. UnityPoint Health is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs. Sioux City provides coordinated clinic, hospital and home-based care with a state-of-the-art surgical center, 24/7 cardiovascular care, and Level III emergency department.

• Established practice serving the Sioux City community
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access

• Experience and proficiency with trauma, vascular, neuro cases
• Care for high acuity patients (ASA III & IV)
• Supervise CRNAs and Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetists, or perform own cases as needed
• 24/7 call coverage / shared call model
• In-hospital cases: general surgery, trauma, neuro, vascular, interventional cardiology/EP, urology, pediatrics
• Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, collaborative team player with strong communication

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Current and unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications as appropriate
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
