An Industrial Maintenance Instructor teaches students how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and systems used in manufacturing and industrial environments. They combine classroom teaching with hands‑on lab instruction covering mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation concepts.
This is a full‑time, 176-day instructional position with an opportunity for a continuing contract status that is contingent upon Board approval and funding. Teaching assignments may include variable hours at various sites, including days, evenings, and/or weekends. Teaching assignments may include variable modes of instruction including face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online classes. There may be opportunity to teach during the summer semester.
KeyDuties
- Teach industrial maintenance fundamentals, safety practices, and technical skills.
- Provide hands‑on training with industrial equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and update curriculum to match industry standards.
- Assess student performance through tests and hands‑on evaluations.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Support students through mentoring, career guidance, and skill development.
- Collaborate with industry partners to align training with workforce needs.
