This position is based on-site at our Dakota Dunes, SD office. Relocation assistance may be provided based on eligibility.
ResponsibilitiesConfigure, install, and maintain a wide range of network technologies across multiple sites (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VoIP, VPN, dark fiber, WAVE circuits).
Oversee daily network operations to ensure Data Center and Enterprise networks perform at peak efficiency.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Monitor and analyze network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Analyze and interpret network traffic/workload to maintain 99.999% uptime.
Provide proactive solutions for congestion, infrastructure upgrades, and routine troubleshooting.
Manage ongoing network security, ensure proper configuration, and recommend resolutions for areas of weakness.
Stay current with industry trends and bring forward innovative solutions.
Collaborate with IT Helpdesk to resolve network-related issues.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills & AbilitiesAdvanced Cisco background in WAN/LAN, wireless, and L2/L3 maintenance/monitoring strongly preferred.
Practical knowledge of Fortinet platforms (Forti Gate Firewalls, Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer, Forti Cloud) strongly preferred.
Experience with Network Access Control systems such as Cisco ISE.
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, routing, and switching protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP, TCP/IP, IP Sec, Multicast.
Additional experience in:
Control/OT Networks, Cisco DNAC (SDA), Solar Winds HCO Enterprise, Cisco Phone Systems & QoS, Dell Recover Point for VMs, Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers.
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) with all levels of employees.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proven interpersonal and technical skills.
Demonstrated success in project management.
High motivation, results‑oriented, and a self‑starter.
Regular and punctual attendance required.
Physical RequirementsAbility to walk, stand, twist, reach, bend, climb, and lift up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to push, pull, and carry equipment as needed.
Experience & EducationMinimum 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
