Summary

Come join our team in Sioux City, Iowa! The Production Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to the production team. The role ensures the staff achieves required production and quality standards in a safe manner, promotes and maintains positive working relationships, and delivers timely and cost‑efficient production and distribution of company products.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure products are run in the proper order, completed on time, and rotated properly.
  • Maintain detection equipment operation and manage packaging material inventory.
  • Meet all facility operational plans, yield, throughput, line efficiency, and quality requirements.
  • Implement processes to continuously reduce turnover, improve safety results, and create an employer‑of‑choice environment.
  • Provide ongoing training to improve associate skills and maximize team results.
  • Develop new ideas and methods to improve operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability.
  • Support and promote company annual people, products, and profitability goals through effective planning and communication.
  • Monitor and sign off on associate timecards, enforce break windows, and apply disciplinary actions when needed.
Background & Experience Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Agriculture or related discipline (or 6‑10 years of related experience).
  • Previous supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading people and achieving results.
  • Ability to think and plan ahead over a 1‑to‑3 year time span.
  • Ability to develop, organize, deploy, and complete multiple protocols/projects on schedule.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills at strategic and functional levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and company business.
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Physical ability to move light equipment, access files, supplies, and equipment, and climb stairs and ladders.
  • Exposure primary to wet and moist floors, temperature ranges 28°F–100°F, 100% humidity, and noise ranges 50 dB–110 dB.
  • Exposure to chemicals used in pork processing.
  • Wearing and using protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
  • Capability to perform bending, twisting, lifting, and other physical tasks as required.
